Verdict: 4/5⭐️ - *English* Wow, what an exciting book! I can't say anything other than another GREAT BOOK!

The characters of this book are once again phenomenal! If it’s not about the police team then about the other characters of this book. Every character in this book had an exciting aspect, but I really didn’t Sas it coming with one character. You also call such a person a wolf in sheep's clothing. Which also gave the book another thrilling and scary twist.

The setting is still the same in the same city of Southampton and surrounding areas. But the murders in the city are very different and very gripping in each book in this series.

The writing style is again very good! Slightly longer chapters then the other books, but every chapter is still exciting and difficult to put down. You keep thinking, just one more chapter. How the chapters are built up with tension and ultimately the plot twist unraveled made me flubbergasted. How and why all these murders were ultimately committed is very well thought out. In this book the murders are also described in a very gruesome manner, which makes it very fascinating because of how it accomplishes the murders.

I was a bit perplexed by the plot! Actually, I could have seen it coming, but I didn't and that makes it very exciting to read.

How the intrigues and relationships build up throughout the books are very fascinating and dramatic, which makes it very exciting to read. Not only the police characters but also the other characters of the book. That the past catches up with the future, and all truths are spoken. How a journalist gets the police completely crazy. And the characters all revolve around each other and drive each other crazy.

I really enjoyed another thrilling book in this series. On to the next book in this series. But this book is definitely worthy of another TBR list.

*Dutch* Jeetje wat een spannend boek weer! Ik kan er ook niks anders van zeggen dan weer een TOP BOEK!

De karakters van dit boek zijn weer fenomenaal! Als het niet gaat om de politie team dan wel den andere karakters van dit boek. Elk karakter in dit boek had wel een spannend aspect maar bij eentje zag ik het niet aankomen. Een wolf in schaapskleren noem je zo iemand ook wel. Wat het boek ook gelijk een andere spannende wending gaf.

De setting is nog altijd hetzelfde in de dezelfde stad Southampton en omstreken. Maar de moorden in de stad nog altijd anders en erg grijpend zijn in elk boek in deze reeks.

De schrijfstijl is weer erg goed! Iets langere hoofdstukken maar als nog is elk hoofdstuk spannend en moeilijk om weg te leggen. Je denkt maar steeds weer nog een hoofdstuk. Hoe de hoofdstukken ook opgebouwd worden met spanning en uiteindelijk de plottwist ontrafeld maakte mij flubbergasted. Hoe en waarom uiteindelijk al deze moorden werden gepleegd, erg goed bedacht.  In dit boek zijn de moorden ook erg luguber beschreven, wat het erg fascinerend maakt door hoe het moorden in stand brengt.

De plot was ik wel even perplex van! Eigenlijk kon ik het wel zien aan komen maar daarin tegen ook weer niet en dat maakt het heel erg spannend om te lezen.

Hoe de intrigues en relaties door de boeken heen opbouwen zijn heel fascinerend en dramatisch wat het erg spannend is om te lezen. Niet alleen de karakters van de politie maar ook de andere karakters van het boek. Dat het verleden de toekomst inhaalt, en alle waarheden worden geuit. Hoe een journaliste het bloed onder de nagels haalt bij de politie. En de personages allemaal om elkaar heendraaien en elkaar gek maken.

Ik heb er weer erg van genoten van weer een spannend boek in deze reeks. Op naar de volgende boek in deze reeks. Maar dit boek is zeker weer een TBR lijst waardig.
