*English* Yes, well I don't have to say anything more about the writer himself. How this series of books was written is very good! And like all the other books in this series too, this book is another winner.

How the characters are described is again sublime. The police force that comes back in every book, certainly are super well written with all kinds of aspects included. Of course the main character Helen Grace, I'm still amazed at how well she is described. How the perpetrator is described as a character is very intriguing as to what his story is. The other characters of the book, such as the journalist, are so well described because if you start to dislike a character then it is well written!

The setting and atmosphere of this book is again set in the same city of Southampton, I have never been there but after this series of books I would love to visit that city! The fact that it all takes place in forests is also an element that does not often occur in books and how the murders are committed is very gruesome.

I still think the writing style is very good. Short chapters and every chapter very thrilling! I really like how, like all other books, this book is written so well from the point of view of the characters and it becomes a whole story. How the intrigues and relationships in this book are built up with each other are so thrilling and fascinating catchy. I never expected the perpetrator to act like this. Despite what happened in his life and in the lives of the victims and everyone around him. The relationships between each other are very well thought out, about how and why the perpetrator committed all those murders and how he planned them. The relationships in the police team brought a lot of intrigues and drama to the book, making them not only exciting but also compassionated chapters.

I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down even though I had a very busy work schedule. Like all other books in this series, I say TBR worthy! On to the next!

*Dutch* Ja ik hoef niks meer te vertellen over de schrijver zelf. Hoe deze reeks boeken zijn geschreven is erg goed! En net als alle andere boeken van deze reeks is dit boek weer een topper.

Hoe de karakters worden beschreven is weer subliem. Het politie korps dat elk boek terug komt, zeker weer super goed geschreven met allerlei aspecten erbij.  Natuurlijk de hoofdpersoon Helen Grace, hoe goed zij wordt beschreven sta er nog steeds versteld van. Hoe de dader beschreven wordt als karakter erg intrigerend wat zijn verhaal is. De andere karakters van het boek zoals ook de journaliste zijn zo goed beschreven want als je een hekel aan een personage begint te krijgen dan is het goed geschreven!

De setting en atmosfeer van dit boek speelt zich weer af in dezelfde stad Southampton ik ben er nog nooit geweest maar na deze reeks boeken zou ik heel graag die stad willen bezoeken! Ook dat het zich allemaal afspeelt in bossen is ook een element wat niet vaak voorkomt in boeken en hoe de moorden worden gepleegd is erg luguber.

De schrijfstijl vind ik nog steeds erg goed. Korte hoofdstukken en als nog elk hoofdstuk erg spannend! Hoe net als alle andere boeken, dit boek ook zo goed wordt geschreven in het oog punt van de personages en het een geheel verhaal wordt vind ik erg goed.

Hoe de intriges en relaties in dit boek zijn opgebouwd met elkaar zijn zo enerverend en spannend. Waarom de dader uiteindelijk zo is geworden had ik nooit achter hem gezocht. Ondanks wat er allemaal gebeurd is in zijn leven en in de levens van de slachtoffers en iedereen er om heen. De relaties onderling zijn erg goed bedacht hoe en waarom de dader al die moorden pleegde en hoe hij ze had bedacht. De relaties in  het politieteam brengt zich weer veel intriges en drama in het boek mee waardoor het niet alleen spannende hoofdstukken zijn maar ook meelevend.

Ik heb erg genoten van dit boek ik kon het ook niet wegleggen ondanks dat ik een erg drukke werkplanning had. Net als alle andere boeken van deze reeks zeg ik TBR waardig! Op naar de volgende!
